It’s still a little early in this area to be out shed hunting but I caught wind of a few sheds being found. So I decided to head out and check a new spot. I parked my truck and was immediately into good sign! Just Ten minutes later…Boom! My first shed of the season! A decent 4 point. Tweedy(my shed dog) and I continued to look for the other side for another 3.5 hrs, but no luck. We will most definitely be back to this area later in the season. This is by far the earliest I have found a shed. I usually don’t pick one up until early Feb. So hopefully this will be a great season!
I took an August Vacation this year and did a little striper fishing of the coast of Cape Cod, MA. We had a pretty good day.In all I think we landed about 30-35 fish between the 4 of us on the boat. Mainly hooked Blue Fish and Striped Bass but also reeled in a few Dog Fish. I ended up catching the biggest of the day with a 42 inch 35lb Striper! My biggest fish to the day!
This was my 4th time booking a charter with Captain Robbie and he always puts us on fish. He has a small 19 foot center console that is great to fish from. He gets us set up on light tackle and rods(basically trout rods) so it is always a battle when you hook into something! If you are ever in the area of Cape Cod and are looking to do some fishing you have to look up Captain Robbie. Here is a link to his site. http://www.seaducedfishing.com/
Here are a few pictures from the day:
